How to add friends via Rocket ID
If you have the Steam version of the game, you’re in luck, as you can use your friend’s Rocket ID to add them to your friend list. This ID works cross-platform and allows for cross-platform play. Let’s look at how to do this on your system.
Necessary:
- Your friend’s Rocket ID.

Launch the Rocket League game, and once you reach the main menu screen, tap RT on your controller. You can use the key associated with the function “. Gas “using a computer. ZR On Joycon.
Pressing this button will bring up the Friends tab in Rocket League. Go to the second tab from the left; it should show you your existing Rocket ID friends. Once you get to this page, tap “X on the controller. PC users can use their mouse to click “Add a friend with Rocket ID “.

How to add friends using your Epic Games ID
Epic Games’ new take on Rocket League has its caveats. While the game is free, it cannot Voice chat with your teammates. You can’t add friends or create a community using your Rocket ID, but you can rely on your Epic Games Store ID. Let’s look at how to use it to add friends in the Epic Games version of Rocket League.

How to add before the game starts
Open Epic Games Launcher on your system and click “friends” in the left sidebar.
Epic Games should now display a relevant social window. Click on the “Add Friend” icon at the top of this window.
Your new window will now appear where you can invite friends and send requests to your friends using your Epic Games ID / Display Name. Enter the relevant information in the text box above.
Now click on “send“.
Your friend request should now be sent to your friend, and you should be able to play together within Rocket League once your bid is accepted.
How to add after starting the game
Launch Rocket League on your system, and once you are on the home screen, click on the “Friends” icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
Now click on the first tab above to access your friend’s list.
Tap “Add a Friend Epic” at the bottom.
Now enter your friend’s Epic ID in the custom text box.
Click “OK” once you are done.
Your friend request should now be sent to your friend, and once accepted, you can easily team up with them in Rocket League using the Party.
And my friends in Rocket ID
If you are a Steam user or have previously used a console and switched to a PC with the Epic Games version of Rocket League, you must manually send the command to convert your platform friends. This will add all your Steam gaming devices/friends to your Epic ID, allowing you to play with them seamlessly, as Rocket League provides cross-platform support. Let’s look at the procedure.

Now click on “Interface” above.
Finally, scroll down and check the box “Turn platform friends “.

How do you accept friend requests?
Whether or not you’re using the Epic Games version, accepting friend requests is a reasonably straightforward process. You will receive a notification allowing you to take friend requests when you are in the game automatically. Open Rocket League and click on the Friends icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
Now click on the’ the bell’ icon, the third icon from the left at the top of the Friends window.
Click on “Friend Requests “.
Note: This option will also show you the number of pending friend requests you currently have.
Now accept your friend request, and the person concerned will automatically be added to your friend list.
